Does anyone still play board or card games?

When my daughter & SIL come home to visit for more than a couple of days we play different games.
Last night after a couple of Pina Colada's (which I am done with for another year to sweet) then a couple of Margaritas we played Yahtzee this time.
The wife kicked everyone's azz with 3 Yahtzee's. One game was enough for we all were a little goofy

We have played a word game named Probe for years. It’s a family tradition.

We do all the time, our two games I get my butt kicked at are Skip Bo and Wa Hoo. Every time our daughter comes home I can expect at least a couple hours me getting my butt kicked.

My wife plays lots of board games with the grandkids. They love it. I have to be bribed to participate. The 10 year old grandson will occasionally guilt me into playing chess with him. I showed him the game a few years ago. He already quickly beats me and makes my brain hurt. When I play Monopoly, I play to win.

Board games and card games with the family. Yahtzee, Scrabble, Uno, Sleeping Queens, Sorry, etc

Monopoly and Clue are two of our families favorites.

Does strip poker count ?

My wife and her brothers and sister will play different games ALL DAY LONG! I don't play , they are too serious about something that should be fun.

I only play board games when my daughter and her boyfriend come over. He likes to play chess even though I beat him every time.
They will play all day.
We also do puzzles. During the big freeze of Feb 2021 we went three days that we were doing a 1000 piece puzzle a day.

Almost never but my better half’s family does. At their lake house and we played with my Grandson last night. Their family favorite is skip/bo which I never heard of. Played that but GS too hyper to stay with it. Went to Candyland but they changed up the board so doesn’t bring back the memories.

Occasionally. Monopoly and Apples to Apples are the main 2.

Wife and kids are playing clue as we speak. We prefer cards/dominos

Play this a lot with the grand kids. I made a super size so the game took longer and got more heated at the end.

wife and grands love puzzles. Dominoes are always close to the table..........42, moon, and count.

We have family game night about twice a month. Might play board games, cards or dominos,, the kids look forward to it. We also have "Fancy Dinner Night" about once a month, often on game night. We cook something "fancy" and dress up, make up a back story and talk in funny accents.

Christmas tradition was a family Monopoly game…..every year for a long time until Dad and brother decided to form a corporation in the middle of a game and wiped us all out.

Chess is my favorite We play Monopoly at least once a year

We play either board games, card games, or match car games with our son when he gets home from school until he goes to bed. Anything to keep him away from screen time.

Back to Yahtzee it has a special place in my heart, when I was probably 8-9 years old my Grandpa Jess would take me camping and fishing with him at White Rock lake back in the mid 60's.
We would get in the Jon boat and put out the Rubber band trotlines then get the Cane poles out and start fishing. When it got dark we set up the Coleman lanterns and play Yahtzee in the back of a pickup truck with other friends of his that were out there also, great times and memories!

When we were in Orange Beach the kids brought a game called speak out,where you had to have this thing in your mouth and try to convey a phrase that your teammate understands, it was fun for a short while then got annoying.

Use tp play Chess a lot and entered into the city park competitions, trivial pursuit was fun unless you were stoned, intoxicated or playing with dummies.

Wyatt liked playing chess with me for a while, then girls came into the picture and it was see ya later pops

When power is off and our grandson can't play the video games on his game systems, he and I will play Monopoly.
