I need a recommendation on a cigar to try. I’m a cheap azz also, not black n mild cheap, but not $50 for a couple cigars either.

I’ve never smoked cigars so I have zero clue what’s good, I just have an urge to try it and see what’s up.

What ya got

Give a Montecristo a try. Or maybe a Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real.

To be determined

If you can find Crux, get their Epicure. I think it will go well with beer. It's sometimes my "morning cigar." Full disclosure: I rarely drink beer, so I'm guessing.

I once drank a "morning" beer that my son gave me. ('Said "Morning Beer" on the can. Some craft stuff.) Spotted while drinking it, then stalked, then killed my biggest axis so far. cheers

Fair warning: Cigars have gone up astronomically. $$$

My favorite at the moment is the Oliva Melanio…

Sure there some $25+ cigars but there are really good ones in the $8-$15 range.

Just go to a good shop and pick 3-4, do that a few times and by process of elimination you can find a few different ones you like.

If you ever go high end you will probably never go back so dont get to fancy with what you buy. My Dad has smoked cigars all his life and its always been whatever he could find at the gas stations. A friend of mine that owns a few high end cigar shops gave me two of his favorites to give to Dad and now cheap cigars just aint the same anymore. LOL! Think the two he gave me were a Padron Damaso and a Padron 1964. Probably around $20 each if you want to be ruined for life.

I live nowhere around a shop LOL. So I have to order online to try. Which I don’t have a problem with.
I’ll add the Olive Melanio to my list to try. Thanks man.

Yes.

Curly head deluxe in maduro.

Nothing else is even close at the price point.

You ask for good and cheap…… there are others but….

I've literally smoked hundreds of different cigars. My absolute favorite is a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Maduro. It's not a beginners cigar though. I would recommend just picking up 3-5 different sticks and trying different styles/wrappers/sizes. I tend to prefer cigars from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. A few brands I recommend are:

- La Flor Dominicana
- Camacho
- Drew Estate (particularly their Liga Privada line)
- La Gloria Cubana
- Punch
- Montecristo
- Padron
- Romeo y Julieta
- The Griffin's

Stay away from Gurkha and gimmicky brands like Acid.

Acids are appropriately named, taste just like it

Macanudo Hyde Park great mild starter or Perdomo 10th Anniversary as well. Both are mild.

One of my favorites (no longer produced) Nat Sherman Timeless 652T. I bought 2 boxes and have them in my Daniel Marshall.
