This guy is probably the most honest men I have ever done business with, and can do incredibly things with his dozer.

Let me know if these fall through. I know of two in the area but I have them working for me starting Aug 22nd and for about 45 days.

If you are not familiar with hiring out dozers be sure to research what machines they have. There are people out there offering services with 50k machines and 500k machines and the amount of work they can get done in a hour varies drastically. Sometimes the cheapest hourly rate isn't the cheapest. Model numbers are confusing. A D5 or D6 means nothing. Look up the specs online for the particular machine. For example a D6T is a 45,000lb machine with 228 HP. A D6D has 139 hp and weighs 20,000 lbs.
The D6T is twice the machine of the D6D. A D6T at $150/hr is a better deal than a D6D at $100/hr in my opinion.

I own a dozer myself and have contracted out tens of millions of dollars of dozer work. You don't want a machine unless it weighs at least 30,000lb. 40,000lb is better. Weight is everything when it comes to dozers. Every machine I have seen has enough HP to move itself but the lighter ones don't weigh enough to have enough traction to push things. I owned a 20,000lb dozer and now own a 45,000 lb machine and it is night and day difference in what I can do.

To many people who don't know any dozer seems impressive but a bigger one will run circles around one that is inadequate.

Thanks for the info SR! This project will have to wait a little bit, so no immediate need.
