Curious to know if there is a non gas check 30-30 mold available. Surely the antique ones probably were not made to use a gas check? Just like to try some 150gr FP loads, maybe even with black powder. Don't shoot the lever actions much anymore But it would be nice to have an easy setup in reserve Any suggestions?

Check out Accurate Mold's catalog, lots of choices. He can modify existing molds or you can design your own. http://www.accuratemolds.com/catalog.php?page=2#catalog-anchor

A mild BP .30-30 WIN load will shoot fine with an un-checked bullet from a GC mold.
Lee makes a .311 100 but it's a round nose, a little light, and probably way too short.
Hey okie44! Long time no see.
Pass the gravy.

You could also try paper-patching without the gc if you already got a gc mold.
