Check with your insurance. I know State Farm told me 15 years my home owners policy covered my structures on a property i owned in another county.

Check with your insurance. I know State Farm told me 15 years my home owners policy covered my structures on a property i owned in another county. I'd be real careful here. Unless an owned structure (even one routinely made available and not owned) away from your residence premises is specifically listed somewhere, then there is no (zero) coverage for it. This applies to both direct physical damage (ie: fire, wind, theft & such) and maybe more importantly, the liability side. Being uncovered at time of claim can suck.

Klappenbach's Prowler 5th wheel burned to the ground while no one was there. Considering the proximity of other structures, we were fortunate that was the only total loss. Rancher wanted us to clean up the whole kit & kaboodle so that is what we did. Plain & simple, that was one of the more disgusting clean up projects I have even been involved with.

If you have an atv/utv recreation policy or consider getting one be sure to ask and read the policy/endorsements as I been seeing policy languate require the unit when off residence premises to be in an enclosed locked building/storage unit etc for coverage (theft). Listen to Hudbone non owned/unscheduled structures are not covered on homeowners.
My lease campers are not very valuable and not work insuring as I bought them as hail salvage units but a lease liability policy with fire liability coverage is very reasonable and I highly recommend for liability of your lease members. One of my landowners requires it.
Sorry to hear of those with property losses. Time will heal the land.

Sorry to hear of those with property losses. Time will heal the land. until it burns down and you start looking at replacement trailers ... The market is crazy on used camper trailers these days and pretty much anything under $7-10k is trashed, leaking, needs lots of repairs, etc.

Have some friends at camp right now…our cabins and ATVs are all good. Literally EVERYTHING around our camp is completely burned up. Looks like the only thing we lost in the camp area is our cleaning station. Unbelievably thankful for those guys doing what they’ve done and it’s a huge relief that they were able to save our camp area. No update on our blinds yet, but at this point we are just relieved to still have what they saved. Wow What an unbelievable blessing Very happy to hear this
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

'Glad to hear it too. I was on a lease for a very short time during the 2011 fires, south of Ozona. VFD saved the camp. It was 20+ years of a large group of hunters, all walks of life, bringing stuff out there and leaving it. Letting some of it burn would have been an improvement.

We hauled a few off last year and burned them in a pit. Not going to lie we where all shocked by the heat they gave off. We had dozer, I can’t image the pain doing all the clean up by hand.

There was no structure save for the metal frame left. Flat shovels and a large dump trailer were not really our friends that day. The residues and fibers form the charred materials was disgusting. Only time I wanted to wear a mask.

Sorry to hear that. These fires spread very fast. Someone tossed out a cig the other day, I was at a stop sign. Saw the tiniest little curl of smoke the size of a dime so I parked and went to stomp it out. Within seconds it was beyond my control and burning up the field, FD had to be called.
I hope you got a photo of that guy's tag and shared it with the fire marshall
