Cousin and I went to the lease this weekend to put up my new 1000 lb SilverHorn protein feeder, build a feed pen and fill up my 5 spin cast feeders with corn. The temperature was HOT, 100 degrees is where the thermometer stop raising while we worked through the day. The two ponds are now dry but thankfully we have two concrete water troughs to keep the wildlife watered. The grass was really dry and would break over when you walked across it. The deer and Axis finally started moving out of the shade around 7PM. I saw a nice 8 point, a 6 point, 7 does and 5 fawns along with 3 Axis Does. I did see one Doe with twins, so that was a nice site. The only easy thing about this weekend was the Corn Blower I built worked. cheers I sat down and built myself a corn blower to help put corn and protein in my feeders without having to climb a ladder. It was real nice hanging a PVC pipe off the side of my barrel and just having to dump corn into a barrel sitting on the ground to get the feeders filled.

I know what you mean..

We have a place in Sonora, and I think it literally sits on the face of the sun.

I swore I would never even go back to Junction during June, July and August. But I just keep going back.

We are 16 miles south of Junction off of Hwy-83.
