Spent 28 years in the Supermarket business. I burnt out managing the meat dept. when I was 47 and went into manufacturing / machining (O&G). Retired as a production facilitator (in 2020) after 14 years and living the dream. Started playing golf again and shot my best round ever on a 9-hole course in Cloud Croft NM last month. It was a par 34 course and I shot 38. I actually parred 7 out of 9 holes. banana

It's the closest station to my house and middle of the pack call volume wise. I get a wide range of types of call since our running district has all times of neighborhoods. We are also right off I20.

This job is very interesting in that it is really hard on your body and mental health but for whatever reason I love it so much.

You forgot to mention dog trainer.

I played there about 3 weeks ago, fun little easy course. I drove the par four 5th hole four times for 3 birdies and 1 eagle. I think it's a fairly easy hole to drive for most folks.

Always been in sales some sort of way… IT, Medical… Started rehabbing houses about 9 yrs ago, ended up getting my real estate license couple years back to help save those costs. Looking around a bit now. Might make a change.

Spent 29 years as a critical care medic on ambulances and helicopters for a hospital system. Got tired of risking my life every time we lifted off. Went to DFE Tech in Tyler in 2014 and now I'm a senior mud engineer on a drilling rig in Odessa.

Not much anymore. Seems I'm fighting with Social Security to keep them from stealing what I earned in 32 plus years of working for the government and 7 years of public service as an EMT. Wish I was back either chasing illegal aliens or working for Customs catching dope and smugglers on or near the Rio Grande. Now, if I'm not fighting social security, I'm mostly bored or here and TFF.

I dunno, they're saying I didn't have medical insurance when I was working EMS in Presidio or Fort Stockton. Which is BS, I not only had city/county Blue Cross Blue Shield I've had it ever since I retired from Government service back in 2020. So, it's some form of Medicare/Medicaid bovine scat. What PO's me is that they are trying to screw me for money and yet handing out medical services and social security to MF'ers whose clothes aren't even dry yet from sneaking across the river.

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Forester. I grow Trees and wildlife on 130,000 acres of private land and all that goes with that. I’m not much on awards but I’ve been recognized for the wildlife and habitat work that people I have worked with have accomplished on private land at the state and regional level. After I am gone I hope my legacy will be as a conservationist that was able to leave better than what I started with to those that come after me. Ive been blessed many times over.
As a side bar: my occupation has allowed me the opportunity and places to shoot 4 or 5 days a week for three and a half decades which is how I come up with a lot of the crap I post about shooting.

I bought a charity hunt once on Temple Inland’s boggy slough. I envied those guys. Doing all the things I loved, but I’d already made a deal with the corporate devil.
