Austin citizens voted to repeal the public camping ban, but the city is not enforcing it. How would you like to be a taxpayer there. The city has also bought several motels around town to turn into homeless housing.

I can't believe some haven't been shot. The city has also bought several motels around town to turn into homeless housing. San Antonio is doing the same thing. I attended a conference downtown a couple of weeks ago. First time in a long time that I've walked across many blocks of the city of my birth. Homeless, and stalled construction, everywhere. You can feel the lack of direction and despair. It feels like New Orleans without any fun, or art, or music.
