A family we are close with has adopted multiple kids. Well, they help other families that also are conditioning themselves and their environment to adopting children. Especially those that are not infants.

This certain family is adopting a child that really wants to be a LEO. I wonder if an LEO presence has been a big part of his life until now. His new adopted family is trying to do something for him as his adoption is being finalized and he will now live with his new family forever.

They are asking for patches from as many DFW and area LEO departments as they can get to surprise him. If you can and are willing to help, please send a patch to the address below. I know this group will rise up as you’ve done for over 15 years and make this a happy day for a boy that will have a new family and life!!!

Very cool! My wife's parents were fosters so there were always an abundance of kids running around their house. Cannot help on the LEO side, but how about an Army patch?

If they are young, bring a trailer. We are looking to clean out.

Where is the adoption taking place in Denton County? I would see if a few courthouse deputies could attend the ceremony.

When is adoption date or how long do I have to get patches? He can have one off my uniform was gonna try to get more from surrounding agencies I work with.

I dont want to derail this thread but do we have gangs in Fort Worth? Pardon my ignorance on the subject, just have no idea.

Just before I retired less than 2 years ago, we had about 2400 active documented criminal street gang members in FW. If you take into account that gang officers had to run across them in person to document them, I estimated the number to be about 3-4 times that amount.

Made two traffic stops Thursday night in Weatherford, made two arrests. Drivers in both were documented criminal gang members. They all over.

Got 3 different patches sent to them from WPD.
