OP JCB THF Celebrity J Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 26,556 Walmart	Man what a day!! Me, my Brother, and my Dad hooked up the boat this morning and went after some Crappie. Man it was HOT but so was the fishing. The fish are finally moving into their summer patterns but its still not full throttle yet. Took a little bit to figure them out but then the action was pretty steady once we did. I would say we caught probably 125 Crappie and brought 43 home I believe. As we were moving to another spot I picked up my Sand Bass rod and made 2 cast to some ultra shallow water and got bit both times. This was mid day and the shad spawn is pretty much over so I have no idea why those fish were in 2'-3' of water but they were. We caught them dang near every cast for about 45 minutes with multiple triples. We threw 45 in the live well and then moved on. We lost some absolute mega Crappie right at the boat today because our netting skills were less than impressive today. But no complaints. You gotta leave some for next time. By the time we were done the ice chest was overflowing and we had to throw about 20 in the live well. We left them biting because we were hungry and needed to get the rest of the fish on ice.
