Have any of you ever had issues with a buzzing doorbell chime? Currently have 2 of these on the walls that a humming pretty loud and the buttons at the door aren’t currently working or light up.
Anyone have a possible solution?

They are normally low voltage....more than likely a bad transformer. You may double check the connections on the buttons as well.

First thing I would do is disconnect each button, one at a time.
The light on a lighted button shut off when the button is pushed. This is due topower for light being "used" to power bell or bells. If a button does not reset completely, this could cause this symptom.
Or..there could be a short between the wires going to one of buttons.
But, check the buttons first.
If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Thr buzz you hear is the bell soliniod enegized.
If a button is pused and released after a pause, you would hear something like this.
Ding.....faint Buzz.....Dong

Who is that knocking on my front door?

I ended up finding the transformer by the grace of God! Guy I work with knew his dad wired the house. So he told me where to find it, who would have thought to look inside the breaker panel??, and found it to be SUPER HOT! I didn’t run a volt meter on it but did discount it. Going to replace old style doorbells with Rings so it was needing to be done. Was really surprised at the amount of heat it was putting off though. I don’t think that’s normal, is it?

Also, indicative of a stuck button. Normally not hot.

They are normally low voltage....more than likely a bad transformer. You may double check the connections on the buttons as well. Yup Or may have a bad push button allowing 'bleed by' voltage through when it is open (normal position)
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

The transformer was hot because it was powering the ringer solenoid constantly. There is a short at one of the door bells or in the wire going to a doorbell. Should be easy to determine if it is a doorbell, just disconnect the wires from the doorbell and if the buzzing stops you found the problem.
If you disconnect each doorbell and the buzzing continues then you have a short in a wire. That would be more difficult to find. But usually occurs at one end or the other. If in the middle somewhere you would probably better off just replacing the wire.

Also could be exposed, corroded wire connections
