Looking for a new air compressor mainly for airing up tractor tires, but sometimes for paint gun, nail gun etc. I want to be able to air up tractor tire in seconds not 20 freakin minutes like my old one. $600 is the most I’ll spend. Must be electric. Don’t really care if it has wheels or not. Just want it to preform. Ideas? Thanks

I bought a 30 gal DeWalt oil lube twin cylinder from Tractor Supply a year or so ago. It is portable, and performs well. It is in the $500-550 range. For not much more you can get a bigger one that is not portable.

Thanks wing nut. I’ve been eyeing that one for some time now. Good to know it’s a good one.

I run a lot of compressors on a daily basis I prefer Makita Portables and Quincy stationary compressors. I am not a fan of store-brand compressors like husky or Kobalt. Ingersoll Rand is not what it used to be they use cheap Motors and pumps they don't hold up one of the plants I work that had a scroll compressor from Ingersoll Rand it was a complete lemon. It was a good thing they had a 40 year old Atlas Copco as a backup.

This is what I have. Nice rig. Just don’t buy an oil-less one.

I have the 2.0 HP version of this, great compressor https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/MAC2400Cast iron pump with Big Bore™ cylinder and piston is engineered to provide faster recovery time for improved performance Powerful 2.5 HP 4-Pole motor produces 4.2 CFM at 90 PSI for increased productivity and lower noise Roll-cage construction provides complete protection to withstand extreme jobsite environments Low AMP draw reduces incidences of tripped breakers at start-up Pump is oil-lubricated for cooler running temperatures and reduced wear Copper finned discharge tubing for increased heat dissipation and reduced water in the tank Pump runs at lower RPM (1,730) resulting in lower noise (79dB) and improved pump durability Large automotive style industrial air filter for increased air intake and greater efficiency Durable cast iron cylinder reduces wear and increases pump life; removable for easy maintenance

They will run to siding guns easily and very quiet I also have the bigger version but I don't use it nearly as much.

I have an 80 gallon IR and love it That IR compressor is rock solid for the price, I have had 2 (still have 1), traded one to my brother. Good air, oil bath, serviceable and nice 2 stage operation for a stand model. Wait until it's on sale at TSC and grab a 10% off coupon ta boot.

Got a 32 year old 20 gal IR compressor, just won’t be quit. Hate to say it, I wish it would as would like to buy a bigger (50-80) gal, but as long as it’s still going, I’ll keep using it….. May break down one day and buy a bigger one for my shop and move the old one to the barn.

I have an 80 gallon IR and love it I didn't buy a Kobalt, I bought a Husky from Depot...I'm not where I can look at it but I am 99% sure it's this one: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-2...-Silent-Air-Compressor-3332013/311273546I've been tickled pink with it though and if I was buying tomorrow I'd get another one. The last one was loud enough I could hear it over the lathe running...this one I cannot.
