Curious what the THF braintrust thinks about these tracks. The sand could be making the tracks look like they come from a bigger animal than they actually do. They look like there are no claws, which tells me they are cat tracks...but then, the sand could have caved in and covered the claws as well. Could be bobcat, could be lion, could be canine of any variety. They just are not well enough defined tracks to be able to tell.

Cat tracks in dry sand. Could be either bobcat or lion. Had some lion tracks on my place in Throckmorton County multiple times. That dry sand just makes it hard to tell.
Game Warden stopped by about 6 years ago asking if I had missed any calves lately, said he got a call of a dead colt in a tree NW of Woodson. Lion kill. We got em, but they roam a big area.

Lab tracks.... hard to tell in the sand if its a Black lab or yellow lab....definitely not chocolate though.

The bottom one looks like a dog. Yup, looks like claws in the bottom print that is in more compact soil, so I think it is a canine Cats walk with their claws retracted. The top prints are hard to say as the sandy soil has collapsed.
