I have always wanted an engraved pistol, and now that Dad has passed I may just do it on one of his Colts.

I have always wanted an engraved pistol, and now that Dad has passed I may just do it on one of his Colts. I think you would enjoy having at least one engraved. I bought these as an investment because they are considered "factory engraved" by Colt. It's an exclusive agreement between Colt Mfg and Davidson's to produce engraved pistols before they reach a dealer. It's a unique arrangement that I believe will have value in the future. Be careful which Colt you choose to have engraved, is my only caution. I have two 6" blue Pythons, one royal blue, and a 4" 1992 nickel as well. I honestly don't think I would touch them with engraving? But that's just my preference. On another note, I'm having custom cases made for these engraved models just so I can show them off a bit. LOL. The cases are being built in North Carolina and they are walnut with black felt liners. They will also have a wood block inserted to hold six rounds of ammo. Pretty koooool I hope. I will share some pics in a few weeks.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.

I don't think I would want to do anything to the deep dark blue of the Python. I will keep my ears open for a diamond back, thanks for sharing yours with us!
