The dura-touch coating on my Maxus went sticky and I have to send it to Browning for stock replacement. I’ve always had boxes laying around from online purchases but had a water heater leak in October that ruined them. Where can I get a shipping box locally-DFW?
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

FedEx has big enough boxes but boy they’re proud of them.

6” pvc and bubble wrap. Or just a plain box w/ your old stock & forearm bubble wrapped, they shouldn’t need the whole gun.

I recently shipped a rifle to a buyer. I went into a local UPS franchise pack and ship store. (not UPS at one of their shipping hubs) I told them I needed to buy a box of a certain size, the owner happened to be in and overheard, asked me if I was shipping a gun. I guess I have that look. He told me to bring it in. It was in a cloth sleeve, he bubble wrapped the whole thing, cut a box to fit and closed it up. Box was like 3-1/2" x 7" x 43". I think he charged me $12.00. Took it to the post office and that was it. I'd avoid a PVC tube, costly, and they roll all over the place in the truck, don't ride well on conveyor belts and have to be handled manually.

Thanks for all of the replies so far. Please post more.
This came from Browning in an Email that included the shipping label.
Remove all after-market accessories prior to packaging (for example: scopes, bases, rings, slings, aftermarket sights, etc.). Do not send your firearm in a gun case. Browning is not responsible for lost or damaged accessories. - Ensure that the firearm is adequately packaged and protected, as Browning is not responsible for damage that may occur during shipment. - Send us the complete firearm, not just selected pieces or parts.
Since Browning is paying for shipping I’ll play by their rules. As a result of a class action lawsuit Browning will replace the stock and fore end at no cost to me.

Any local gun shop will have boxes. I'm sure they will help you out.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Based on the Browning note I’d go with the PVC/ bubble wrap…cheap and practically indestructible.

Don’t know about Dallas but if you call a local gun store or two you’ll usually find one that has available unmarked gun boxes that their guns come in and will get you one FOC. I went through the browning replacement process and it was fairly seamless on a browning xbolt. The only complaint I had was I do not like the replacement. Slick and hollow sounding like a Tikka.

How is it shipping, UPS, Fed EX, USPS???? UPS. Don't use a tube. Get a stout box, whether you have spend $10-12.00 or get one given to you. I'd make the small investment in a good box.

You should send the whole shotgun back, they check out everything while it is there and replace other parts as needed. I sent two of them back in 2019. On the camo shotgun they re-dipped the whole shotgun, and on the black one they replaced the stock. On both of them they replaced other parts, the trigger assembly on one and the gas piston on the other.
