I'm going thru the reloading stuff in prep for either selling off some of my older bullets and choosing which bullets to concentrate on 1st once I start reloading again, and am gonna start with 270's as I have more than I need for the next ? years. Most of these are bullets I had picked up over the years in garage sales or from collectors closeouts. A couple box's of these have acquired a dirty patina and need to be cleaned before they can be sold or used to reload with. Cured the problem when I started using left over glass jelly jars to store stuff in. So what's the best way to do this?? Anybody???
Thought about using Hoppe's or the new stuff from "Pro-Shot 1 Step", "gun cleaner & lubricant" I got from Attwood's that fixed the super sticky problem I had with the new Marlin SS 270 that had a sticky chamber problem strong enough that I broke the ejector trying to recycle a fired round out of the magazine. Now that rifle's chamber is so clean I can elevate the barrel and a fired round will usually slide out on it's own if I have not fired but a few rounds. Ron

Tumble them...that's how guys would remove molly from their bullets.
Don't mix up lots or you have eliminated a portion of your potential buyers.

Thanks guys for the tips. Got the 270 bullets pulled off the shelf, seperated by weight & style & counted but need to keep only one caliber & Bullet Weight & style at a time on the work bench. Ought be 4, or 500 270's on the List. Gonna go thru the 6.5 bullets tomorrow if the weather holds ...look for my Listings in the Classifieds in about a week. Ron

Keep them! You found the right bullet and load for your rifle, BUT you may just buy another rifle and it may not like the load you settled on for the first rifle. This has happened to me more than once and I find myself having to test various bullets to get a good load for the second rifle.
