Where is the best long range shooting range north east of Dallas.
I want to start bench shooting at atleast 300 yds or better.
Just getting started and need a place to go.
Last year I had a super buck at 301 yds and was unsure about the shot. I have always felt good about the 250yds and less but did'nt want to chance wounding him with my 25-06 and losing him.

There's a nice range East of Commerce, around 10 or 12 miles best I recall, just can't remember the name of it. That's where the 4-H has there 22 cal. tournaments. Has several options, short range, pistol, and longe range with nice concrete benches. They also have a nice gunshop right on sight. Just wish I could remember the name for you. Will try to dig up some more info for you if I can.

Sight it in at 1 1/2 high and hope the wind is not blowing and you'll be fine .

Might try calling Steve Wilson, the Parks and Recreation guy for Commerce at(903 886 1101). He could more than likely get you the name, number and directions.
