This is a touchy subject for me.... I am quite mad to be honest. I moved down to Texas and believed the lies that the news outlets told me and went into Walmart looking for a gun, or even guns to buy. NONE!

Now I know I have seen them before and wanted to purchase but was not allowed to legally do so at the time. I know Walmart sells guns in other states because I travel for work and like to see what the local Walmart has to offer. Maybe a fight, a good deal on clearance or people watch.

Anchorage for example has about 100 guns that I saw at their Walmart, yet every Walmart I go to in Texas has no guns. Chicago Walmart has guns, California Walmart has guns and ammo, and even New York has guns and ammo. Why is Texas so scared of selling guns? Is it true that after the El Paso shooting; Walmart decided to scrap guns in Texas?

I have been to multiple stores around Austin, San Antonio, Waco, Dallas, Houston and the coast. NOTHING!

Try Academy.

Decatur has them. Probably most of the other more rural WalMarts. You won't see 100, but there should be several shotguns and rifles.

Weatherford but not many or any good ones.

All the local Walmart’s around me have long guns and ammo. No hand gun or hand gun ammo.

They used to have a big special order firearms catalog behind the counter and you could order the nicer models so long as they had a relationship with the manufacturer. And they had a lot of big names in there. That was a long time ago, so things might have changed

Walmart sucks, I’ll drive 20 miles around two Walmarts to go buy a single bag of chips..

Support the little guy, make a few friends at some local gun shops..

I'm a cheapazz. I don't like over paying just so that someone else can eat. I support small business if they deserve it in the sense that their prices are fair and their service is great. But why would I pay $500 for a Mossberg 500?

They're always out of guns.

Are you just interested in WalMart's position on selling guns in Texas? You really don't think "Texas" is scared of selling guns do you? Unless it was a heck of a deal, I can't think of a reasons to buy a gun from them when you drive past several of other gen sellers.

Try pawn shops…

Canton, Mineola, forney, Terrell. All have guns.

If you can’t find what you want, order it from a large online gun store and have it shipped to a local FFL for the transfer. Many guys handle transfers out of their homes as a side gig to support their families.

They usually didn't know what their guns were worth and you could find cheap guns like a savage axis Ii for $280. It's a good beginner gun. In Alaska I saw Sako and Tikka guns at Walmart.

I'm just looking for cheap guns, that's all. Something that may catch my eye.

Walmart is changing gun related stuff now. Only certain stores and taking out of stores that had them in the past. The stores I know of that still sell them are very very limited

The Wal Mart in Graham has a very good selection of firearms.

Academy is probably just as inexpensive as Walmart.

Bowie WalMart always has a few cheap junkers if you’re interested

Some great deal on savages at Walmart’s if you can find them. I usually see some heading down hwy 30 east from Dallas to Arkansas. Best deals I seen in Arkansas off hwy30

Lubbock Walmarts had guns a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if they plan to remove them.

Make no mistake, when you spend $ at walmart someone always eats. Usually the walton's and some chinese. I try to feed Americans.

I have to feed myself so I try not to over pay just because.

Exactly. I ain't no charity. I'm an immigrant in this country just trying to live the American dream.

Now now... Whole country gets its fair share of criticism as well.
