I've been using sunslinger spinners for several years and have noticed the quality has gone down....so I went to Buckeys to get yet another one and now they have replaced the all metal ones with newer plastic ones and the reviews are horrible.

Whats a quality spinner/timer? I have several 55g barrels that I have made into feeders, just need the spinner/timer

I get about 3 to maybe 4 years out of most of them

My all seasons feeder spinners have been going for at least 11 years. I have a moultree feeder spinner that has been going for 14 years. Just change the batteries every 2 to 4 years.

I have a couple of Monarch feeders that have been going over 16 years. They are a little pricey and more difficult to program. I also have a couple of Moultrie feeders that have been in in use for about 6-8 years and seem to work well.

Texas Hunter in San Antonio, been using them for 20 years with no problems.

Just my opinion but I bought some stand and fill feeders a few years ago that came with "The Timer" and I am not impressed. They do not keep the time properly and I have to keep resetting the time to have the feeders go off when they are supposed to.

I still have a feeder electronics I built 30 years ago and still works...however I fell to the digital age. They now last maybe 5 years....lol... Mine....you could adjust the timer to run as long as you wanted. The bad part ..I had to rely on car clocks and later relied small battery powered clocks with a switch. lol

One of mine is an old HCR(?) timer, built in Canada. 'Came with a feeder I bought off of Craigslist. Dang thing is the only timer I've ever had that keeps absolutely perfect time.
