Hey guys i live in the country and i have ONE neighbor, and everything else is farmland. And i was going to ask all of you hunters on here. "What is the best way to get permission to hunt on other people's land?" I have permission to hunt one piece of land and i want to hunt on more than one piece of land so if you could help me out then iwould greatly appreciate it

I have knocked on the farmhouse door and asked and was told as long as I pick up the spent shells. I have also flaged down the farmer driving his truck out of the field and got the same response

most farmers encourage dove hunting

I have never been turned down, unless they were bird hunters themselves.

I do a lot of knocking and talking and eventually I find one that says go ahead. Eventually you will run accross a nutjob and all hell will break loose.

Well when you are the nutjob those things tend to happen more often.

You about ready to shoot some teal or what?

Humm if the places are close, try asking the farmer if you could help him put up hay,fix fence or just work around the farm, offer him some cleaned birds after the hunt. Someone offering to work a day or two goes a long way with farmers. You could find a couple places where you can for a lifetime.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.
