I'm not sure how the linked article even compares to this conversation. That was a torture test. I've never heard of anyone going anywhere close to 700 rounds without cleaning. This is simply taking a discussion point and pushing it to a ridiculous extreme to make a point.

I have personally taken a match shooting rifle barrel to 600 rounds without cleaning. It was still shooting, but I cleaned it. I checked zero before cleaning, then after noted it took 6 shots to return to zero and start grouping again.

But hey, I am speaking from experience, not copying and pasting someone else's wording.

As has been proven here and before, TCD is a forum troll with not enough experience to even back up whatever position he's attempting to take at that time. He's a clownshow. Seriously how can anyone have any respect for a grown "man" who wads up the American flag and throws it in the trash? People like that get no respect, benefit of the doubt, etc from me, period. Which has been proven in the field, then shared with many here as well as taught on the range. This forum is better off because of it, even if you are an abrasive somebeach. Some folks can't handle that. Nonetheless, experience from a lot of guys here is what makes Jgraider's comment fact.


True, yet he has the ability to get some of us to comment. I'm sure he's sitting in his mamma's house giggling about all the attention he gets here. I feel sorry for him. I think it was WP75169 who said it best in one of Dan's threads, "I thought we were going to let this die on the vine."
