Is a 20 MOA rail and a big tube scope enough for your elevation change? Or do you have to have something else to increase the amount of drop you need? I'm sure I'm saying that wrong but you know what I'm getting at

I think I've got 14 mils of travel on my scope. I assume most of these guys have a 20 MOA rail which buys you 6-7 more mils. The one thing lots of folks forget about is the reticle. Most folks have around 5-10 mils of reticle hold they can use as well.

This scope sits on a 40 MOA rail. Fortunately, it was still able to zero at 100 yards. For some weird reason, Night Force gave the ATACR 12.0 Mils per rev. I was at 19.2 Mils for this distance.

This scope has 20 Mils of hold. You can't see them all at 35X though.

When you say for some weird reason, what would be more standard? I'm assuming 10 but really don't have a clue

Geez...

And a 40 MOA rail? You can reach out and touch some stuff for sure.

I'm impressed you can zero at 100 with a 40 MOA rail. That 7-35 ATACR is freaking awesome

I wish I was smart enough to understand half what’s being talked about.
I have some questions but I’m waiting in hopes someone asks them first.

The Shooter app will give you a graph but it’s not really a good representation of how it would really look.

That is heckuva shot, congrats! What a feeling when you hit at that range. Could you even hear the metal at that distance?

Great shot Jason! Makes that 800 yard target just a “chip shot” for you on your home range.

So much so, that the .300 Norma Mag does not get shot on my range. Waste of components and barrel life.

The best thing to use on my range is my .223 A.I. 1 MOA steel, 800 yards, cross wind is plenty challenging. And it is cheap to shoot!
