My apologies. I'm just always amused at the effort some will go to throw a negative spin.

It's not a "negative spin". Chris called you out on your perpetual nonsense. Some of us care about true information being shared on this forum. A pressure point of stock to barrel, is the manufacturer hoping it shoots mass production ammo decent. Most rifles out there have free floated barrels for good reason. You've been told this multiple times, for multiple years, by multiple people and still will not absorb it. Or you are a troll.

Two weekends ago a brand new Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor was brought to me to clean, scope mount, bore sight, and zero. Tikka T-3's have the stock touching thr barrel for 5" from the recoil lug. I know this, and I took the rifle apart and corrected that problem before ever shooting it. 3 foulers, cool, 3 foulers, cool. Last 3 foulers were one ragged 5/8" hole at 100 yards. The man watched me do all this, said thank you, and handed me cash.

Remington two piece bases and Howa 1500 bases are the same. One piece bases are different.

We have a number of Vanguards in the family and have been pleased.

I don’t know. We have one S-1 but it has two piece bases. Bought an S-2 a few years ago and ordered a one piece base from EGW. I ordered a Remington one piece b/c I thought they were the same. It didn’t fit so I called EGW and was told they are different and they sent me the correct one. Out of curiosity I checked Warne and two piece are the same as Remington 700 and one piece are different.

I’ve sold thousands of them and shot hundreds. (Vanguards) They are very accurate out of the box rifles for the money.
One of the few manufacturers that still have a barrel straightening process on every barrel produced.
