In reality, I would never try and beat a freind to a spot. If I know ahead of time a freind is hunting a spot or wants to hunt a spot, I'll plan on hunting another spot. I'm not that desperate for ducks.

Exactly. Guy knows 95% of the places I hunt and is invited to any hunt he wants to join. Too many ducks to fight over one place. I actually never went back to that spot.
