Here is what maybe an interesting question:

Would you rather mount a bipod or a sling on your rifle?

This is mostly in regards to a rifle you will be carrying around, either for hiking or stalking. I figure if you are in a blind, it doesn't matter either or.

Howdy !
If I'm gonna be sitting still somewhere like the ground or brushed up good just waiting, for ME the bipod is they way to go.
Just out walking around I go with a sling because for me it's faster to use.
Here where I am most of the time when I see hogs or coyote's it's spur of the moment and the sling is ready.
Anyway hope this helps and I look forward to other opinions .

I have used sticks and fixed bi pods. The Stoney Point Polecat Rapid Pivot in my opinion is the only way to go. You can still have a sling and a bipod. This bipod not only pivots left and right but up and down as well. Here is a link to one give it a try. http://www.opticsplanet.net/stoney-point-polecat-rapid-pivot-bipod.html

Both spend the money for a good bipod with a stud for a sling.... Slings don't make the best rest even if u wrap it around ur arm

Sling.

I generally don't have much use for bipods unless it's on a belt-fed, having carried machine guns quite a bit....

I normally shoot prone off a ruck or other bag whenever possible. I don't "mind" bipods on rifles, but I don't have any so equipped.
