I lucked out my wifes b day lands just before opening day on the 29th of August. Close call. I'll be taking off early for an afternoon hunt and then hit it again on the wkd.

Where are y'all hunting to need to hunt the morning and afternoon on the opener to get a limit? Pasture land or a field? I haven't needed to do that but once in years and that was when I didn't have a field, just some pasture land at the lease and got nothing that day. Just seems all fields produce really well on the opener everywhere from my experience.

In northeast texas, more days than not it takes all day to get a limit, even if you hit every bird.

Hunting Waco the 1st and 2nd. Then traveling to the Rio Grand Valleyand unting in Blue Town for the South Zone special hunt on the weekend.

Both! I'm doing some day hunts around Sealy/Brookshire/Waller on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th and then heading to Harper,Tx in the Hill Country to visit my Mom. I'll be hunting with my nephew around San Angelo on Labor Day weekend. Can't wait!!!!
