I have been with them a long long time they are fairly cheap on Auto for me, But I do have my house and auto with them and I have about 8 vehicles. Liability runs me about 300 per year, Full coverage runs me 650 a year and I have the extra insurance in case some one who hits me doesn't have insurance on all vehicles
I also have 3 million umbrella policy from State Farm as well and it cheap

We shop and change it every 2 years. There’s no suck thing as loyalty with the companies, only with agents that can use numerous providers.

State Farm is a really good company. Take my word for this. Bundling homes and autos together does provide for savings. No doubt about that.

It is difficult to compare prices because of location and circumstances, but I throw this out anyway. I paid $420 for six months.

Have had SF for a very long time and have never had any issues with claims being paid. Take my word for it. Home claims and Auto claims fast easy even had a wreck that was my fault and the lady I hit, tried to sue for personal injuries. I never got involved. They handled everything and the case was dismissed. They even knocked the actual damage down to under $1,000 and I didn’t have any surcharge on my policy. They are not the cheapest in town but I also never have to worry about them handling any claims I might have to make. What is that they say???? Oh yeah… You get what you pay for.

Something isn't clicking with meon the statement I just got.It says total premium per auto $288.82 and $262.99 = $551.81 for two vehicles. Total premium for SEP 07 2021 to NOV 20 2021. Am I missing or misreading something about this bill?.I'm going to call him tomorrow and see what the heck is going on as we don't drive that many miles.

State Farm quality depends on the agent you have. The last one we had I would not insure a dog house with that POS. The previous ones were great, they took care of the clients and not sucking the State Farm teets.

I was with Germania for about 14 years and switched to Progressive when I bought my new car, because Germania didn't do online quotes and I bought the car on a Saturday...They tried to raise the rates by about $100 for 6 months, despite my credit rating going even higher than it was and no accidents/claims/tickets. I signed up with MetLife....It was $80 cheaper than what I was paying with Progressive and I just renewed and it was $60 cheaper this time than last time. I'm happy so far.

I have been with State Farm and the same agent for around 30 years or so. They are on the high side but I have never had any issues with them taking care of claims. I have had multiple auto claims and a couple house claims.

So yes it appears as if he overpaying

Drivers over 80 have the second highest claim pay out only bested by youthful male operators. Many companies charge out more as you get older. Residing near overcrowded and congested Harris County, his rates most certainly take that into account also. His coverage is likely with Farm Bureau and they are another good company. Like many old people who were brought up during different times, he may well have low comprehensive and collision deductibles which may drive up his costs.

Insurance companies exist to pay claims. In reality, that's the way it works. Insurance utilizes a three pronged delivery system - You deal with some insurance schmuck to set up a policy, otherwise know as a unilateral contract. Underwriters approve to provide what you and the insurance schmuck agreed to. The adjuster comes in at time of claim and limits the insurance company's liability to the contractual specifications you and the schmuck agreed to and which were approved by the underwriter. Last year, the claims generated by our humble little office in downtown New Barnflies totaled in the millions. This year, it will be even more. That's out of one, 1,750 SF office and from only one agent out of many in this town. We are fortunate.

They are closed today but monday morning they gonnaget a call from me.I also think different agents can charge different rates but we will see after I call around. We don't drive a lot as my 2016 Ram has less than 15K original miles. This Buick we bought over a week ago has less than 100 mi on it but it lookslike they are raping us and it doesn't feel good.

Your full coverage and deductible may not be the same as others. Location plays a huge factor in rates as well.

Call your agent every single year, tell them it's time to renew your auto / home owners policy and you want their bid or price for the year.
If you don't do this and you've been with the same insurer for more than two years, I can almost guarantee you're paying too much.
