If you think fish is bad, try working with software guys from India …. sick

I’m not trying to trash curry, I’ve had some fantastic Thai and Indian food. I’m just bitter because my old next door apartment neighbors were Indian, and the smell from their unit was so strong it permeated our shared wall bad enough to make my closet & entire wardrobe smell

Those people aren't famous for smelling that good to begin with.

Actually, she is...She's also living in Santa Barbara living a good life. I just hope she remembers not to microwave fish or broccoli. grin

I first thought that your work place must be a real joy to be a part of, then I remembered all the dumb kids that work for us, and the dumb rules we have to implement every time they screw something up that we didn’t think they could. Stupid always finds a way.

Anytime we have to put a memo out for guidance because someone did something stupid, all of the officers start playing the "who generated the memo" game. You would think they were hunting a serial killer, and they usually get their man. I've thought about putting out a fake memo just to watch them run around in circles trying to figure it out.

Yep! Anytime we get a new rule, we know someone did something stupid.

At my previous job, one of our mobile machinists would bring salmon patties for lunch every time he came to our shop and heat them up. He was told not to do it, but always claimed he forgot. I finally just removed the microwave when he was there, and problem solved. He ate his salmon patties cold.

Someone where I worked put popcorn in the microwave and no one knows how long it was set for and left to go back to their office. Bag caught on fire which set off the smoke alarm which summoned a full blown response by the fire crew and EMTs'. The Office building, 2 floors, was evacuated.

No more pop corn in the micowave.

That popcorn can be really nasty. I would almost rather smell a decomposing body than severely burned popcorn. Someone did that a couple of months ago and most of our building stunk for two weeks.

I remember a sailor trying to dry out his cover in the microwave, walked off leaving it to smolder and set off the alarms in the barracks years ago. bang

Rules have been invoked because an idiot did something stupid in the past. It is just amazing what people are capable of.

Anyone microwaving fish in an office environment needs an azz kicking.

My office is big enough...I have my own refrigerator, microwave and couch for afternoon siesta!
