I don’t have my finger on the pulse with firearm prices anymore. Can anyone give me a ball park for what these two Chinese sks rifles are worth?

Chinese SKS

I did and the prices are all over the place.

An SKS is one firearm I know nothing about. If it was anything else I would know how to price it. With these, I’m lost.

I got 100 of those and bought them from RSR Wholesale back in the mid 90s for 19.95 each.

The MAK 90s cost me 99 bucks with 3 magazines boxed up.

Crates of Norinco Ammo were like 50 bucks or so.

Cheaper than Dirt really was awesome then.

Gunbroker is still the best way to get an idea what they are going for. You have to ignore current auctions. Log in, go to completed auctions. Use Chinese SKS with exact phrase checked. Then in advanced search check most bids to less which will move the zero bid closed auctions to the last. Only look at the prices of the ones that are of the exact same configuration and condition. Don't use the overly high as those are more related to one or more persons in a bidding war. Don't count the absolute lowest ones either. Remove any that have a lot of accessories included. Using that criteria write down the prices of the ones that are left. Then you will have your high and low range current online value.

Does not matter. When you get the final search results visually scan through the auction titles and pictures shown. The one you have that is in original configuration you will want to only look at sold gunbroker prices of ones in the same original configuration and condition that look the same as yours. the sportered one, you will only want to compare to sold auctions of ones that are sportered in a similar way. Should be easy since you have a large pool of sold auctions to pull similar examples from.

I have several SKSs in my collection. Chinese ones going back to those mid 90s imports including an early Sino Soviet, though I paid retail so around $70 or so each. Then Albanian SKSs wholesale after I got a C&R FFL. A couple nice Yugo 59/56s when those imports where cheap. One nice Yugo M59 example. An original field expedient Sniper with a Zrak scope that my Century Arms Rep set aside for me hand picked out of an import of Yugos out of Bosnia. I was trying to get a battle used SKS from every faction of the Bosnian Conflict and only got one with the Croatia coat of arms carved in the stock and one with the Bosnia fleur de lis on the stock. Never did find one with the Serb Eagle on it, but they are out there. And last I bought 5 well battle worn and field personalized M59 SKSs at 5 for $100, so $20 each that were police confiscated imports from Croatia. Never did find a Russian example that sang to me. I wanted an example with the laminated replacement stock but never found one I was willing to pay the asking price for. Considering how little I paid for all of the ones I do have and what they go for now, it is probably is one of the best investments I ever made.

If I were you fishhunttx, I would only sell the sportered one and box up the original configuration one to sock away for another 10 years as an investment.
