Yeah. Not what I call a pandemic.

I’m not saying that each death isn’t sad. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t pay attention or take measures against it. It’s just not even close to being severe enough to strip people of their rights.

Though I suspect the results had zero bearing on what you really wanted to accomplish.

Curiosity is all. My comments earlier were more about how numbers can be presented. Personally I’m not worried about Covid. I don’t care about personal vaccine choices. It’s a private matter whether someone wants to be vaccinated or not. Hope anyone who gets it recovers.

I look forward to when it is finally behind us although we will nonetheless be presented with some other threat.

10/4. I can’t argue with that.

I think the older crowd in here might have something to do with it.

So, not a single person has died from the Flu in 18 months. Seems odd.

People have died from the flu in the past 18 months. It's not difficult to find the information.

In my 56 years I cannot personally remember any acquaintances, friends or family dying of the flu.

Everybody dies. Some young, some old. The reasons why, good luck figuring that out.

Just lost two co-workers here, both from heart attacks. One younger than me, made it home from work and dropped dead.

The other, my friend that I've worked several projects with/known for a long time & 2 yrs older... Hard working intelligent mechanical engineer with great computer skills (he was good at his job and then some - great team mate ). Heart just popped and he fell just like my Daddy and Granddaddy did out of the clear blue.

I am not afraid to die, what I am afraid of is leaving this World with Kids and Grandkids not knowing what our State and this Country is all about. What we stand for, and don't stand for.

Cancel culture is strong folks, it's real and it's here. Lots of factually ignorant emotional people out there with a platform to speak and brainwash our young ones, while the folks trying to communicate truth get deleted and we're putting up with it.

"Misinformation" on all of these Big Tech Social Media Platforms means "Information that we don't like," Now you're banned.

I never dreamed I would see this sort of nonsense happening in America, but it is make no mistake.

Ain't no conspiracy theory.

That's not quite a complete answer. This is pretty interesting.

There were about 700 flu deaths in the 2020-2021 flu season. CDC reported flu deaths were down because of the masks mandates, the distancing and other Covid safety factors that were implemented.

Turkeyhunter,

The rapid test and the PCR test have been proven to be unreliable. I believe the number of Flu deaths to be way under reported. No disrespect to anyone who has died or lost a family member to either one of the flu's/diseases. It just seems like the covid is way cooler than the flu.

I know of 2 in my 60 years......the most recent a 38 year old RN that use to pick up my kids after school until we got home from work........she died on her sofa trying to keep her husband and one year old son from getting it........she was not overweight and was not a smoker.......worked in the ER at a hospital.....

If you want to know the other causes of death here is a good link....scroll down to the data set that lists "Comorbidities and Other Causes". According to the CDC only 5% of deaths were from COVID only.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid_weekly/index.htm#Comorbidities

"Table 3 shows the types of health conditions and contributing causes mentioned in conjunction with deaths involving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The number of deaths that mention one or more of the conditions indicated is shown for all deaths involving COVID-19 and by age groups. For over 5% of these deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned on the death certificate. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 4.0 additional conditions or causes per death. "
