If whatever district your kids went to told you they needed to wear a mask you would either comply or homeschool them. Don't act like you would take up arms to defend them against against the dangerous cloth cover that will traumatize your kids.

You should both do some reading on the research that has been done on the psychological impact of masking for children. You should also do some reading on the impact masking mandates has had on COVID spread, and COVID infections in children. You'll quickly change your tune once you become educated....or then again, maybe not.

The saddest thing I may have read in my lifetime was recently: that almost every person (man, woman, and child) that does not get vaccinated will get COVID (the Delta variant is just that transmissible). Most will recover, but many of them will get seriously ill, many will have long term effects, and many will die. Some of these will include children.

All entirely preventable but sadly inevitable - just because a few powerful folks decided brainwashing others into thinking mitigating/stopping this disease was somehow an “individual freedom” issue.

Your “studies” (if they even exist) are not actually studies. No real study shows any significant risk from the vaccine. This with hundreds of millions of doses already given.

But the 620,000 Americans dead from COVID and overrun hospitals and ICUs speak for themselves. No study required.

The Vaccine does not keep people from getting the Delta variant. they say that it keeps 99.9% of people from dying...but then again, they used to say that the vaccine would keep you 99% protected from even getting the vaccine. They were wrong on that, weren't they? Find this fact for me...what percentage of people who are unvaccinated and get the D variant of Covid end up in the hospital? I spent hours looking for that answer. I also asked my DR. He could not come up with that answer. So the CDC is telling you that you are much less likely to go to the hospital and die from the D variant if you are vaccinated, but you can't find the data on how likely you are to go to the hospital or die if you are unvaccinated? What is it, .5% higher if you are unvaccinated? What is the risk? That is the stuff I want to know before getting an experimental drug. Something stinks.

Please post links to any research (reputable links please). I keep hearing about all this research about covid, psychological mask problems, but nothing to back it.

Here's the only thing that is clear to me:

-Anti-mask folks won't wear masks
-Anti-vax folks won't get the vaccine
-Pro-mask folks will continue to wear masks
-Pro-vax folks will continue to get vaccinated & boostered

There appears to be no changing of minds one direction or another. Period.

But it’s long past time for a mandate - as we have and have had with numerous other vaccines. The highest purpose of the law is to protect the common good from the stubbornness, stupidity, and/or evilness of others.
This side of the crime laws, I have seen no more urgent justification for a law than for a vaccine mandate right now to end this damn pandemic.
