A month or so ago while searching for a Vizsla pup I stubbled across this site. I spent some time poking around and enjoyed the reading.

I've since taken delivery of my new pup and now returned for some advise. I recall reading about snake avoidance classes held at various locations around the state.

I'm interested in attending as our place has a lot of snakes. The drought seems to be drawing them out of the brush as we have had numerous encounters this spring and summer.

As of 08/05 my pup is seven weeks old. At what age should I get him into snake avoidance training? I'd love to do it before October as he will be spending lots of time with me there this winter.

I'm in the Houston area but hunt in South Texas (Atascosa County). Any upcoming classes in or around Houston?

Yeah.. her name is Tiga and she is great. That was just a pic this last year when it snowed and is in a backyard.
