Tomato juice didn't work....dish soap,hydrogen peroxide and baking powder....helped a little.

Yea that sucks. Been there and the house smellled like skunk for a month.

He'd have to relocate for the night it was my dog...love his its limits. My wife wouldn't let me in be smelling like that either.

I've had to tell people a skunk had gotten under the house a time or two.

Now I know why you do not have fleas.

I call Abby skunk killer. Last time she had to stay outside for a week. I was goose hunting in Brookshire with my Golden and she got it in the face. The skunk was in a hole. We bathed her in tomato sauce but smell still there. That night she jumped up in my buddy's bed and laid her head on his pillow. I am surprised the hotel did not send me a cleaning charge.

Spray him down with scent killer used for scent cover-up.
Trapped a skunk in the barn once and my son shot him in the head to remove the trap. Yes it killed the skunk but he oozed green stuff all the way out of barn. Smelled pretty bad and I sprayed it with scent killer and it worked.

A couple of weeks ago Abby startled one that was on my deck. When it sprayed the house took a direct hit and it came in through the soffit vents and dryer vent. The smell was so strong in the house it woke me up. I could smell it in the utility room for over a week. Now I have to figure out how to get it off a downspout.

That skunk scent is some strong stuff. I got crazy one night and shot a skunk about 75 yards out in front of the house before I checked wind direction. Bad mistake and won’t happen again. Before the skunk died, he let off two large clouds of spray, which came our way. We tried to seal up the house, but it didn’t work. Vicks Vaporub in your nose kills the skunk scent for 20 minutes. We couldn’t sleep with the stink that strong, so I went out in the yard, picked up the skunk and walked his remains downwind. The intensity of the stink at arms length from my nose is more than I can find words for.

Nowadays I check wind direction. And don’t waste my time with advice about where to shoot the skunk so it doesn’t spray. There is no right answer, other than shoot him downwind.

If I had a sprayed dog, he would not get in the bed with me. Heck, a skunk sprayed nympho supermodel ain’t getting in the bed with me. On the other hand, I would get 20 minutes with Vicks Vaporub…..

Boxers and skunks. Been dealing with that saga for 20 years now.

Apple scented dish washing soap, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) mixed while washing Pup is all I've found to get it halfway decent. After about 5 to 10 washings and rinsing in a row,,, all good. Pup, even if it loves baths while start to squirm after about the 3rd or 4th time. Don't ask me how I know.

Use Dawn dish soap in the peroxide and baking soda wash. Dawn will work better than most of the others removing the oil. Skunk scent is an oil.

This and add a whole bottle of suave hair shampoo to the mix.

Water pushes the skunk oil to the skin where the smell stays until it wears off. Best thing is no water, just sand and dirt to absorb the oil. One of my dogs will immediately roll in sand for over 30 minutes, the other dog has to be held down with rubber gloves as we pack sand on him and smash it in. This removes 90% of the smell. Unfortunately we have had to do this 4 times and they haven’t learned yet not to chase those black and white furry fritters

If you can catch immediately after, GoJo waterless hand wash works well; cuts the grease/oil. 'Hard to find though anymore. We order off Amazon.

Tomorrow it's mothballs and traps..

Come him cleaned outside with the peroxide solution and then to the shower,.he is not bad...until he threw up...smells like the whole spray went into his stomach...man the house stinks! We put resolve,pet odor cleaner and carpet cleaner,..but wow!

I like skunk scent.

Good luck getting rid of the skunks, and that puke smell in the house. Still have the camper? might be time for a campout at home.
