I've been wanting to add some stuff to one of my 10/22's. You know new stock, laser, Hi visibility front and rear sights, etc.
Anyone have any tips or experience with 10/22 upgrades?

Personally my first up grade would be a barrel, but mine is worn out.

first and foremost, a new barrel, second, a new trigger, third, something really freaking cool like a supressor! 4th, something else really freaking cool like a laser sight, 5th, somether else really freaking cool lika..... thumbhole pistolgrip stock with bypod attachment..... and other really freaking cool stuff!

I but on a Butler Creek barell and stock combo (camo) and then added a Volquarsten trigger. The thing is an absolute tack driver. There is a guy at rimfirecentral.com named Todd Toungnes sp? that will take you completely rebuild your trigger for you. It is supposed to be even better than the Volquarsten or Kidd and alot cheaper but you have to send him the trigger group. Have fun with it the skys the limit on mods to these fine guns. My suggestion is to do a little at a time. I dropped a little over 400 in aftermarket parts for mine and rarely shoot it.

The barrel will help you the most with accuracy but you will probably have to get a new stock to accomidate the barrel.

i just purchased a 10/22 just for the sake of pimping out.

i changed the stock to a tactical looking on called the T6 by Tapco (about $89). i changed a piece in the trigger group called the auto bolt release (about $15). i have found out later you can modify your own to do the same thing. i did the mag release extender. got a fake flash suppressor (about $17) simply for the looks. added a vertical forward grip that doubles as a bipod ($35).

finally, i just got done ordering a flashlight/laser combo that attaches to eh picatinny rails on the tapco stock ($70).

mine looks like a little AR. hence its name, my AR 10/22.
