So I was cleaning up my reloading shop and came across 5.56 and .308 brass. I don’t want to stick it to anyone but what’s it worth? I have (I’ll unfortunately count) probably 1000 once fired 2017 lake city cleaned and processed. Then about 4-500 3x Winchester.308 win brass. It’s ultrasonic cleaned but not processed.

Depending on the rifle it was fired in the .308 may be at end of life if fired in a semi, 1-2 loadings left if fired in a good bolt gun, and maybe 3-4 if a bolt gun with a tight chamber, and not max loads. Maybe worth $.05 - $.06 a piece.

I like 2017 LC brass. Its one of the higher quality brass out there. Its a pain to reload because the primer pockets need the crimp removed. I used to pay $.05 each but recent market is closer to $.08- $.12 each depending on quantity.

Fully processed (pockets uniformed, length trimmed) 5.56X45mm is bringing $120.00 per thousand plus shipping as stated.

Pass the gravy.

I am surprised on the .308 info. I normally get far more loads than that. I had some brass that I tracked to 13 loads and still going strong. Primer pockets good and neck tension ok. Annealing might have been in order but I wouldn’t have hesitated to go to round 14. Thanks for the info guys.
