Just out of curiosity, how many outfitters decided one day you wanted to quit your current job and get into outfitting? What was that transition like? Granted you are starting up a business...are there loans out there to help you get started? I certainly don't have the green in immediate hand to get started but I was just curious as to how the start-up process began. Obviously there are many advantages to outfitting....granted it's year round hard work....but I'd like to sign on the dotted line.
Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life.

That is pretty much what I did. I had the advantage of my wife having 800 ac. She was unhappy with the last person that leased and her brother leased out his part only with the only camp on the place. I leased her sisters 800 ac. and started advertising etc. It is not easy. I would not reccommend geting into it with debt.

No debt. Start off small with what you can afford and grow, much easier and less stressful. You could probably get a loan but that adds to the stress of having to pay that loan every month and the stress of having to book hunts and deal with cancellations etc.

I just decided to do it, I had hunters booked before I even had the land, canoes, fishing equipment, stands, feeders. I was just testing the water, and people were already booking. Now I have everything above, plus about 800 hunters and fishermen a year come in to enjoy my properties.
