Looks like it’s the original that’s been soldered back onto the rod, but it’s too worn down and just needs to be replaced. Haven’t checked Midway lately but they were nearly $50 by the time it shipped.

Any ideas on where to look for one a little cheaper, or know a gunsmith that could solder it back on good as well as rebuild the tip? I had been having issues with the rifle before this, and I think the firing pin caused a lot of them.

Located in Tyler area, willing to travel a reasonable distance for the right fix.

$50 is a whole lot cheaper than rebuilding the tio and soldering the part back on.

Not sure what ammo prices have to do with a part for a 50+ year old 22, but ok.
