No, according to B&C, the final authority. Carmen Mnt whitetails exist in the hills of the Big Bend region and are, to my eyes anyway, indistinguishable from Coues deer. But alas, they are not Coues.

The reason I ask is because I watched a show on tv yesterday and they were hunting them, and I thought they said the hunt was somewhere ok the border of Mexico and Texas.

It had to have been somewhere south because they filmed mexicans crossing the border when they were glassing the hillsides.

I know a guy who has a place far south of Sanderson and he swears they have couses on the place but that no one will recognize them as being that. They are to far east I think he said. There nice symmetrical racks but dont get big at all. I have some pictures but dont know how to post them...

I googled Carmen Mt. Whitetail and Coues deer, it said pretty much the only diff. between them was antler size, with Carmen Mt deer typically having 30% more antler mass.
