I acquired a Browning BPS Field Model 28. It has a high gloss walnut stock, gold trigger, Invector choke tubes. Gun is in 98% condition. How much is it worth?

When you say "28" are you saying it has a 28" barrel or its a 28 gauge?
If its a 12 gauge 28" barrel it wont bring more than $350, if its a 28 gauge it will bring probably $50-$75 more than that!

Sounds like a 28" barrel to me! If its an "Invector" choke system and not the "Invector +" than its the older model!
The newer ones have the game scenes on the reciever, and the older ones dont!
The value is about the same for both models and I would say its worth no more than $350!
They are AWESOME guns though! I have owned three of them over the years and currently still have a BPS Invector + camo model 3.5" chamber! I honestly use that gun more than my simi-auto! I use it for dove, ducks, predators, etc! It sees more use than any shotgun I have!

Yes! The date code is located in the serial number and it will be in the form of two letters in the middle of the serial number!
For example 11111NY78910: NY would be the date code!
Tell me the two letters in the middle of the number and I can tell you when it was made!
