My Mom made me 2 trays of her bread pudding with whiskey sauce last weekend. Good GAWD it was awesome!
My final answer to Apple Pie: Find a Momma. She doesn’t have to be yours. Just a Momma. They make them better

Look for the local bakeries in your area. You will get better pies, made fresh daily.

For store bought I concur with the lattice apple pie from Kroger and Sams. Braum's has good frozen pies as well.

I picked up the Calendar's Dutch Apple and baked it today.
Just ate tenderloin Fileto Pizzaiola for dinner and in a little while, I'm diggin' into that pie.
