I have a problem. A hog problem. According to neighbors we are being visited regularly by 30-50 feral hogs. I have buildings and farm equipment, and there are homes on the other side of the lake so the thought of someone not familiar with the area using rifles out there is not something I would consider. So, I thought I might check to see if anyone would be interested in trying to thin the herd via a bow.

My farm is in the Van, Texas area. It is only 12 acres, but my partner would probably say OK to someone using his 12 acres as well. I would only be willing to share the keys to the gate with one guy and it would have to be someone I trust. I have too much farm equipment etc in the area to see it all disappear.

I am not sold on the idea, but something has to be done. The hogs are destroying my fields. Please PM if you think you might be interested.

+2... but you might be able to put a small dent

Trapping and continued hunting are you best options

Trapping in this heat is not a good idea, unless you set it in the evening and checked it in the morning or your trap was big enough to keep water on it (1 acrea trap).
