Headed for Alpine in a few weeks. Any good places to eat there? Any good Q?

Don't know about the Q, but there's a pretty good place there named Reata. The calf fries appetizer was spot on and the chicken fried steak was very good.
I will say if I had known how good the calf fries were, that would have been my main course.

Texas Monthly BBQ app is your friend, they have reviews on a heck of a lot of joints across the state.

There use to be a decent place setup inside Big Bend Brewery, but not sure if they are still there. I know Convenience West in Marfa and Brick Vault Vault Brewery and BBQ in Marathon are top notch.
