140 class will be a management hunt at most established ranches. what are you looking to spend? establish and let us know the budget first then you can find some good hunts.

500-800 I wouldn't mind a management hunt I have a place that lets me put meat in the freezer I'm just looking for something I can put on my wall. It doesn't have to be a monster a management 8 or ten would be fine.

this season it will probably be 2,000 +-500 to get a 140 buck on a hunt. you might want to look into a lease that has some history of proven bucks instead. I dont know in your case, but the hunt and uncertainty of what might walk out could be worth more than the higher scoring trophy.

another important thing to look at is how accurately you can estimate a deer. if, at this point you really cant honestly see the difference between a 150 buck and a 130 buck then there is no sense in going after a 140 for the allure of a 140+ buck. forget the numbers and cherish the hunt, unless of course your an experienced whitetail hunter. most management hunts will at minimum be 120+ and if you have a competent guide they will be able to accurately judge the deer you are seeing.

The best I could do is $1650 for a mid 120"-mid 130". Only kind of places I know that do hunts where you might have a chance at a 140" for a price range of $500-$800 would be a bow only place that does tons of hunters every year and has like a day rate of something like $200/day. Usually there is a 2-4 day minimum that you have to pay for in advance before starting your hunt. There are several of those around that you can find. Some of them will have some good quality bucks out there but they receive so much pressure that they can easily be over hunted. I would be very cautious in what you find in the kind of place your looking for because you may end up blowing your money away. It would be, very popular for that kind of price to say the least. Don't get me wrong, some of the ranches I know that do these bow hunts have been around successfully hunting for 10-20 years now. But their overall success rate is low on a buck 140"+ like what your looking for. It's usually hard hunting and getting a good date would require almost booking a year in advance on some of them that I know of.
For a rifle hunt, I haven't found or seen anything in the price range and quality that your looking for. Hopefully someone else on here will come up with something for you.
Good luck my friend. If you find a place like what your looking for make sure you post it up on here if it turns out good. With the economy the way it is I'm sure there are a lot out there looking for the same kind of deal.

He lowest price I have is $1000 for a buck up to 125". We supply lodging for $100/night or you can get a hotel room. We have a walk in cooler and you can shoot all the hogs you want. We supply continental breakfast and one evening meal. We are 1.5 hours west of Ft. Worth. The up to 140" package is $2000 which includes everything.
If you shoot a young deer because a neighbor will shoot it, you are that neighbor.

Thanks for the help and info guys I appreciate it. I am not a bow hunter unfortunately so I guess I will just have to grow my own.I knew that the hogs were moving your way Tye but I didn't know it was that bad already. I've been at the park in Arlington near my uncles house and seen them there as well.

Hogstalker I hope you to take up bow hunting. Hopefully you will enjoy if you do. And in case you do, try this place out for bow only. I hear a lot about it from a few hunters that I had at my place for exotics. http://www.heartoftexasbowhunting.com/

They seem to come and go. One year we had 14 and caught them all in one large trap. This year, we have a group of 30 or so. Went out yesterday and took two friends who never have been hog hunting. I sat with one guy where there was a group of 20 or so hitting the protein feeder. We only saw 8 bucks and no pigs. My other friend got a shot at a 200 lbs plus boar right at dark. We don't know if he connected or not. He also saw 10 bucks prior to the pig showing up. I'm heading back out there this afternoon to try and find those vermon. Will post pics on Sunday if I get any.

Yeah... i've pretty much got the standard 140 type pricing with meals/lodging included... with two choices... $2650 up to 135 or $3000 up to 140...
I can take some off if we don't provide meals/drinks or lodging... those are pretty big.

Might be the so called "standard" but it won't be 500-800

no... There is no way I could make that price work...
If I was selling 4 or 5 hunts for every harvest, that price would be fine... But I like to sell junta with greater than 20% success rates.

Hogstalker we are selling management hunts for $1800.00 for a deer up to 140 and a doe. We sold 12 Mangement hunts last year with a 99% success rate the only reason we were not 100% is the litlle boy was scared to shoot. The lowest scoring deer scored 128BC and the biggest was 142BC. We also have trophy hunts up to 200BC available. We will probably sell 12-15 hunts this year and they are all inclusive. We have a 6000 sq ft main lodge along with 14 seperate bedrooms. You can contact me at 361-648-2097 or by e-mail don@4-dranch.com. Thanks hope we can help
