I want to fix a gun that means a great deal to me. It’s a old 94 and unfortunately, when I was 18 I dropped it and cracked the stock. What a freaking IDIOT!!! I know. My Uncle had given it to me when I was 12, and at that time it had never been fired. He told me to take good care of it because it might be worth something some day. hammer

Procraft’s post the other day about “your favorite Texas round” has me remembering how much fun I used to have with this thing. I’d like to start hunting with it again next year and want to get it fixed.

Where would you go to find the correct stock that looks right? I’m guessing I probably need to buy a new fore-end while I’m at it so they match? Would you send it off, or do you think things will line up right?

Greg, that can be fixed, either by you or a professional. There are a bunch of different epoxies and ways of curing it. Then sanding and staining.

Pm TDK I bet he can help, and when he's done you'd never know it happened.

He fixed a cracked stock for me and I was very happy with it.

I was thinking I may be in trouble since I already glued it back on 29 years ago. I didn’t do the best job and had glue over run get all over it. Not sure if or how someone could get it apart and all the glue off without messing it up more. I should have taken it to someone that knew what they were doing back then.

I tried to contact TDK but it looks like his PM box is full. If you see this TDK, and you are interested in taking it on, I would love to have you work on it.

Thanks y’all!
