Has any of you used WLRM primers in a non magnum round before? I looking to use them reloading .270 WIN and 308 WIN rounds for hunting. I'm thinking I just use the starting load data and be ok. TIA.

Some say reduce by 10% from starting load. I don't have first hand experience in rifles but I do in pistols and my loads have seen very little if any difference.

Please realize there are apples and oranges and all kinds of fruit to compare in this subject.

Pass the gravy.

It will make a little difference but not as much as a hotter primer like Federal 215 magnum primer does. Depending on the powder .2 to .5 gr less powder to reach the same velocity

That is going off memory.

in a 6.5 Grendel with CCI 400 and 450s it is right at .2 gr of powder difference with 8208 and CFE223 powders.

Done it plenty of times. Back the charge off 3 tenths or so and have at it.

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.
