I do, but it was a long time ago. With handloads it shot slightly worse than the factory hunting contour barrel it replaced.

If you're looking for something that is inexpensive, pre-threaded & chambered to replace a factory barrel, and don't have high accuracy expectations...they're a good option.

If you're considering one as a blank to take to your gunsmith for a re-barrel, I would drop the extra money to at least get a Douglas...or better yet a Bart/Brux/Krieger. Much higher chance you'll get something that's a shooter.

Edit: Sorry, didn't even know they were making rifles. Zero experience there.

Edit 2: Just looked at their site, no way in hell I'd be dropping 1k-2k on a dressed up Savage with a shouldered barrel. Don't walk. Run.

I have run a couple and they have been pretty decent. I only have kept one that shoots 1/3 to 1/2 moa out to 300. It’s a 257 AI. I have a buddy that has a couple of their factory rifles when they first came out they were a pretty good value, but now with all the companies making better quality rifles like tikka and Bergera. I wouldn’t get one. He hasn’t bought one in several years. Imo better off with a prefit from criterion for not much more.

^^^^ this

Also, I think ER Shaw was the one that was causing problems for Kampfield on the spiral fluting...they claim they invented it so no one else can do it. Just that line of thinking and actions on something would sour me from ER Shaw.

TXMike nailed it with this 2nd edit though...RUN!

I was actually looking for info on their barrels solely because of how cheap it would be. From what I gather here, it may be good enough for what I want out of it.

Shilen is a better barrel in my experience and not that far off on pricing.

A cheap barrel that has impressed me is raggedholebarrels.net...but it'll take a smith to fit one I believe, I don't think they sell prefits. You'd have to go look...but Wilson (not Combat) makes the barrels and one of their big contracts is Cooper rifles and they have a very good reputation for shooting small.

Thanks for the info, judd. I'm just looking for a savage prefit in 6.5x47 so I can spend the funds on other things, good dies and such, while I learn about the cartridge. This gives me some confidence in trying this.

I will say the difference between good and trash is around $100-150 if you’ve saved this far save some more.

I've got 2 Shaw barrel's. The 6.5 CM barrel is one of the best shooting barrel's that I've ever owned, and I've had barrel's from all the big names.
The other is a 7mm-08 barrel, it shoot's decent with hand loads, usually groups in the .6" - .8" 5 shot groups at 100 yards.

I currently have Shaw, Shilen, McGowen, X-Caliber, and Kreiger barrels on my bolt action rifles, they will all shoot sub-moa groups with hand loads. The Kreiger cleans easier since it is cut rifled, all the others are button rifled barrels.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Shaw barrel, I've installed 3 other Shaw barrel's on friends rifle's, and they all shot pretty good.

Shaw makes great barrels. Never dealt with their rifles, but the barrels they've made me over the years have been seriously good shooters.
