They can't pass anything with those two road blocks.

Executive Order, just like Trump did with bumpstocks. He set a horrible precedent with that move.

Everything gun related has been plentiful and cheap the last 3 years. Coming in to an election year, you have to use just a little bit intellect and stock up.

Needed 30 30 brass and ordered from Brownells. None local.

Did you post a WTB ad? Lots of people could have sent you some...unless you needed a whole bunch or wanted new brass...

Pass the gravy.

Some people do not think ahead. I have to since I cannot waste the time and gas to drive an hour round trip just in hopes of finding ammo in Denton or Sherman.

Don't bother coming to Sherman, there are lines outside Academy waiting for shipments of ammo. I ran in to get targets one morning before going to the range. I was dumbfounded. Every single person waiting outside in line made a B line to the ammo section. Shelves were completely bare.

And I'll bet those same folks don't have any extra food and general supplies put up either.

I’d guarantee it, these same guys goes and buys all they can and flips it. I couldn’t care less I don’t need any ammo and won’t pay crazy prices and it’s simple supply and demand, but I don’t have any demand right now besides primers lol.

My wife works out next to the Academy in Rockwall. She said the same five guys are sitting in lawn chairs in front of Academy every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings when she drives up at 5:15am.

Now. . . . . .

That can't be right. I posted on several forums that people
were lining up during the 22lr "shortage " and most everyone
that would respond would say I was full of manure and I
was the worst kind of liar, and that academy wouldn't allow
such a thing, etc. etc.
Didn't matter that I personally saw it going on.

Oh well. . .

I hit about 4 Academy stores a few days ago. Greenville & McKinney had lots of 5.56 at $9.99 each - limit 3. McKinney also had Hornady 223 $13.99 each but only about 8 boxes. Garland had their 5.56 behind the counter and were doing any combination total 5. They had 350 Legend also. Plano on 75 and Rockwall had 350 Legend, no 5.56. They all have signs saying limit 3 on 9mm, 223 and 5.56. I saw someone at the McKinney store check out with 6 boxes 5.56 so the cashiers either don't know or don't care. At least that cashier didn't.

This is dumb. Sit there for 4 hours to MAYBE get a limited amount of ammo so you can triple your money? Not worth my time. My hourly rate at my real job is better.

I'm only guessing this is their tactic because I see them at the gun shows with stacks on their tables. I go in (after I get my lazy butt out of bed and IF it is my day off) and if I'm lucky get my limit of something I shoot (I don't buy a caliber unless I shoot it))...I get my limit and go. Here lately my purchases have been dropping off. I like to believe when I sell ammo here i do so at decent prices. I can only do that when I buy at decent prices. Once 5.56 gets above .50-.55cpr, 7.62x51 .60-70cpr, 7.62x39 above .35-40cpr, .45 above .40-.45cpr and 9mm above .40cpr, I'm out. I have plenty to do me for a while. I add to the pile when I can, and when I can't at prices I will pay and sell it for I won't.

To get a stack of what I know they were limited too - either they had multiple purchasers or kept going back in time after time and buying from different clerks.

My son works at Cabelas and notes the same people camped out there when he goes into work int he mornings. For this reason they changed their delivery/stocking schedule. They no longer get shipments on certain days but random days and instead of putting it all out on the shelf they will stock throughout the day. The employees are not allowed to hold or pull back ammo either. They can purchase it with the same limits as any customer, but no holding stock until the end of their shift or for someone to come in.

They have killed my access to Monarch 7.62x39. Until recently you could find it pretty regularly at Academy for .25cpr in 100rd bulk packs regularly. I've not seen a single 100rd pack at an Academy in probably almost a month now thanks to the fellows "selling" them at gunshows for $75-$100.

Such a simple concept yet so few understand it.

I’m at the Academy in Rockwall right now. I’m 13th in a line of about 20 at 7:45am.

An employee came out right before the doors opened and said they had a very small order. No hunting rounds so I left.

Yeah pickings seemed to be pretty slim today, that or the good stuff was gone before I even got out of bed. The only thing I get up early for is hunting and fishing. I went around to 3 Academy's - all I found were Tula 7.62x39 40rnd boxes of 122gr fmj at each store for I think it was $12.50 or so. I got my limit of 3 boxes at each store.

Scheels had gotten some 9mm in but all they had left by the time I got there was aluminum case and 3 100rd bulk boxes of Winchester White box 115gr brass. I grabbled 1 box (the limit) and think the other 2 were gone before I exited the isle. Price wasn't too bad at $29.99 for the box.

If someone is looking for it Rifle Gear is fairly well stocked on 5.56mm - limit is 5 boxes. They have PMC 62gr green tip - think it's $12 a box. They also have PMC .223 77gr Sierra Match OTM. Now that stuff is hard to find but it's not cheap at all. Think it was $22 per box of 20. They had Hornady Frontier too - don't remember the price as I won't buy or shoot it.

My son texted me they did not get or put any ammo out at Cabelas so I didn't go by there.

Earl

Sportsman Outdoors had the same 90 cent deal yesterday. Couldnt make myself spend 475 bucks, they were only selling 500 round boxes
