Been watching a few videos on reloading and ran into these. Anyone have any info or use them? Not really wanting to do a whole set up can different dies be used on them?

One of those in 30-30 is what I started loading with. They will teach you a lot about reloading but a single stage press is much easier to get consistent ammo with.
The classic loader is caliber specific and includes the die but you cannot use other die with it. I starte out with the classic loader, components and a hammer and a 2 foot piece of 2X8 on the desk. If memory serves me right it neck sizes only so with bottle neck cartridges you will get 2 or perhaps 3 reloads per case before you have to full length resize or get new brass,
Also do not expect to set any speed records on loading your ammo.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

I've got a Lee Classic Cast and use it for loading big cartridges like .500 A2/.416 WM/.378 WM etc. It's a great value. Strangely enough, Lee also makes a loading stand that actually works amazingly well. Strongly consider pairing the two.

Using one of those is the only time I've had primers go off when I didnt want them too. Twice. But, I guess when you seat a primer with a hammer you take that risk
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

You could buy dies and come over to my house and use my stuff. You could give all the components to the old lady and have mine bring them here to me. I can load them and send them back via the women. You'd never have to see my pretty face. I know you have 25-06 but what others are you wanting to load for? I might have the dies.

Not sure yet kicking around the idea still I have space in the garage where I can set something up BUT never have done it. So still trying to figure out what I’m getting into

I have used the lee classic loader for 45/70. It works, but as stated earlier, it is hard to get really consistent loads with the classic. Get you a single stage press for cheap and clear out a little area to do your loading. You will be glad you did.

Started 40 years ago with a Lee Loader in .357, a can of HS-6 and a box of 158 gr. JHPs. Progressed through the years and finally went full circle back to Lee Loaders. 38/357, 45 Colt, 30-30, 35 Rem and 45-70.

Like Duke 107, I started with a Lee Loader in .357, about the same time. When I set off a primer with a hammer, like Tactical Cowboy, I decided I wasn't comfortable continuing with that setup and moved up to an RCBS Rockchucker, which I am still using on a regular basis.

Craigslist sucks but it’s a great place to buy a used press for cheap. I would start there.

I have vintage cardboard box Lee Loaders for 3" .410 and .45 Colt. Never used either. I will use them one day and throw them in a bug out bag. I learned to reload on a Classic Turret and I still use it and a Classic Cast (version two of three). I suggest taking the offer to learn on someone else's stuff then buy once for yourself.
Pass the gravy.

Been watching a few videos on reloading and ran into these. Anyone have any info or use them? Not really wanting to do a whole set up can different dies be used on them? 1 Skip the classic loader 2 Buy a press then you can use different dies. Even a low end single stage press like the lee challenger is miles ahead of the lee "hammer it together" loaders. IDK how many calibers you want load for, but the overall best balance of cost and ease of loading for most people is the lee classic cast turret press. It is a little more out of the gate, but makes life easy. But if it is too much don't be afraid of the little single stage press, you will get better ammo and service out of it than the Lee loaders. Good luck

Consider the weight and mass of a hundred bullets, a hundred primers, enough powder, the Lee Loader kit and a mallet. Now compare that to a hundred rounds of loaded ammunition. And if you intend to use the loader kit, you'll need something to serve as a platform to drive the kit on. People say "I'll do it on a stump." Uh huh. There's always a fresh cut hardwood stump just the right height and cut square, right?

JMHO- If things were to where I had to "bug out " , loading ammunition and building exotic shelters and animal traps out of vines and sticks and having subdivision firefights won't be on my to do list. I'll be slipping my way out to BFE as quickly and quietly as possible

I started loading with a Lee back in the 60's. A guy in a sporting goods store sold me the dies, bullets, primers and some IMR3031 for me to load a 30/30. I cut a piece of 2x6 lumber and would load them on my lap while watching tv. The only problem I ever had was trying to put a little more crimp on that I should have. It would make the brass bulge near the shoulder and I'd have problems getting them in a chamber. But once a person gets it all right in his brain, it works !

Loaded many rounds with the LEE Classic loaders. 223, 243, 308, 30-06, 22-250. 357. 44 magnum, 270, 6MM Remington. Cases last a long time using recommended loads which were pretty light. Got pretty good accuracy too. I still use them occasionally.

100 primers and enough powder to load .45 Colt weighs nearly nothing. Bullets are heavy but the brass would come from the already loaded rounds one takes too. Bugging out has a different definition to everyone I bet.
Yes, 3031 and cast bullets are the solution for .30-30 Winchester. BFE is where the Lee Loader is used. Duh...
Pass the gravy.

If it’s bug out time, I’m taking loaded ammo and the rest will probably be left behind.. And that’s why 22lr rules you can carry 1,000’s of rounds and it’s semi quiet and can feed your azz..
