I have a Benelli M-1 20 gauage that I have used for just over a year. It has become my offical goto gun when chasing our feathered friends whether it be ducks, dove, quail or the occassional pheasant. It has caused the retirement of my SBE, my Winny 101 XTR pigeon grade 20 o/u and .410 o/u. It is by far the smoothest, lightest, best fitting gun I've owned.

This spring I had it dipped in the new Mossy Oak Shadow Grass. Best money I ever spent.

I bought a Beretta AL391 Urika Optima about a year ago and it's one sweet shooting gun! It is now my #1 gun for dove and quail. It's a 12 gauge and weight is no probleama.

I shoot a Franchi Veloce Squire. It's a 20/28 ga. O/U two barrel set and I love this gun. The 20 ga barrel set is 28" long and the gun weighs 5.75# and the 28 ga barrels are 26" and make the gun weigh 5.5# I shoot the 28 (only) on quail and it's the fastest O/U that I've ever handled. The 20 will handle 3" shells and will knock down just about anything else that i choose to hunt.

I also own a Lanber 2087 O/U in a 12 ga with 30" barrels that I don't shoot all that much anymore (great clays gun), but I really enjoyed this gun also. It kicked like a rented mule until I upgraded the recoil pad and now it only makes one eye water when i shoot it!!

I'll also shoot a .410 single shot (Stevens Savage) at quail on calm days walking behind the dogs. But prefer the 28 overall.

I will carry a CZ Redhead 28 guage whenever hunting quail or dove. I really like that gun. If I'm quail hunting up north, I will use a Remington Sportman 58 12 guage. Just b/c we usually see more pheasants than quail...
