Congrats on a fine buck. How'd you feel about the angle and the shot overall?
Things happen in a matter of seconds bowhunting I know, but did you feel it was quartering to, away, or broadside when you released? The exit on my arrows always seem to be a little more forward or back than I thought after the recovery.

That’s a very good question. I knew he was quartering to me, but I didn’t feel it was that bad of an angle and felt comfortable when I was anchored. I thought I would get 1 or 2 lungs and the liver at the angle he presented me.
The bigger issue is that my arrow was too light and my expandable didn’t deploy. My arrow was so light that it easily deflected off the rib then took a hard right and exited at the back right leg. Also, I tried a new broadhead b/c I liked how they flew, but at the end of the day it didn’t fully deploy and create the 2” hole that should’ve happened.
It was all a great learning opportunity - because I am rebuilding some new arrows with double the FOC and almost 70 grains more. Plus, I am going back to my old broadheads that I really like.

Yes sir add some weight to those arrows and you'll be good. I really like the Easton FMJ's to up the grains. Congrats again on a good buck

Thanks everyone! I still have 3 doe and 1 spike tag left, so I’m hoping to get some more hunts on film this season.

Nice buck Good shot and fantastic video quality.
Congrats on a nice deer.
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Good job. Looked like a good shot. I felt really good about the shot - but I did have a bad deflection from what I wanted. It was a good learning opportunity for me to increase some arrow weight going forward!

fantastic job with the cameras...really nice footage.
you are spot on about your arrows being too light. what was the total weight?
If you increase your weight above 600 grains or so, and increase foc, you will be super impressed with your penetration. It also helps a bunch with those quartering shots....just put it right on his shoulder!
